- A Large Persian Pottery Jar
- Height 25 in. 63.5 cm.
of deep ovoid form with flat base and slightly flaring rim, the upper body painted in black with encircling lines and vertical panels of alternating linked lozenges and stacked triple triangles.
Provenance
probably acquired in New York in the 1970s/early 1980s
Condition
repaired from several fragments with small areas of restoration and inpainting along some of breaklines, some of the restorations have changed color over time
