Executed in 1974, this drawing was one of several commissioned by the Franklin Mint for a lmited edition series of ingots based on the poems of Robert Frost.
An inscription (probably not in the artist's hand) depicts the scene in Frost's words: AFTER APPLE-PICKING/ My long two-pointed ladder's sticking through a tree/ Toward heaven still, / And there's a barrel that I didn't fill
