Condition

Canvas is not lined. SURFACE: in good condition, generally; scattered craquelure; a few losses--one at lower left, two at center left (may be scratches) UNDER ULTRA VIOLET: very hard to see extent of inpainting through old varnish and dark pigments--there are certainly a few scattered spots of inpaint in darks; much of sky fluoresces slightly--this may be old inpainting or just the natural fluorescing of certain white pigments
