Le personnage féminin est représenté assis, jambes croisées en tailleur, selon la pose Kongo nommée funda nkata - signe, selon Thompson, de grande honorabilité (in Dapper, 2002 : 97). Le large visage offre des traits finement modelés - nez court aux ailes dilatées, bouche charnue aux lèvres bien dessinées, yeux sertis d'éclats de faïence. De manière conventionnelle, l'abdomen est paré de scarifications géométriques. Patine nuancée, brun rouge.

Collectée avant juin 1903, date de son retour définitif en France, par Jules Guellin (1864-1924), explorateur et employé d'une société forestière au Congo.
