Très belle opposition entre la retenue offerte par le hiératisme de la pose et de l'expression, et la vigueur des volumes projetés dans l'espace, jouant sur les courbes accentuées du dos et de la tête. Belle patine sombre et huileuse sur le personnage.

Circular hairline cracks to proper right arm, near elbow. Two indigenous repairs to shaft (metal binding). Some losses to end of shaft. Minor old losses to crest of coiffure.
