Le pommeau en ivoire et bois est délicatement sculpté d'une tête Janus d'hippopotame, la hampe décorée d'anneaux d'ivoire et sculptée d'un large segment godronné se terminant par une pointe arrondie en ivoire. Très belle patine noire, brillante, avec quelques parties réservées sur lesquelles apparaît la couleur claire naturelle du bois. Patine de l'ivoire nuancée, laiteuse et miel.

Fissures sur la pointe en ivoire et sur la hampe. Ancienne réparation indigène sur le fût (bouchage). Hairline stabile cracks on the wooden stick.
