asedwa (dwa), caractéristique des plus anciennes formes de sièges Ashanti. L'assise, classiquement incurvée, est soutenue par un piétement composé de cinq piliers, un à chaque angle, de forme cylindrique et bordés d'une frise dentelée, et un central de section carrée, aux motifs géométriques ajourés. Il est orné de têtes de clous en cuivre, dessinant des motifs géométriques linéaires. Belle patine d'usage, nuancée.

Condition

Wear consistent with age and repeated use within the culture. Break on one of the angle's pillar. Indigenous repairs on thwo other pillars. Few nails missing in the decoration. At the very end of one angle of the seat is missing (old break patinated). Thin loss to one edge pf the seat.
