Catalogue Note

This pew, and the previous three, lots were removed from St. Mary Magdalene Church, Lundwood, Barnsley, Yorkshire. The pews were originally in the Lady Chapel, and the stall in the main choir area. Built in 1933, it is believed the current lots were purchased in 1960. Lundwood was developed between the wars to house miners from the Barnsley area pits. The smoke damage to this pair of pews was sustained in a fire in the church hall in 2006.
