- stamped marks to metal including, `LALIQUE'
- 13.5cm. long
- 5 1/4 in.
the sides cast with a frieze of waving fronds, the cover a moulded glass panel decorated with a naked woman within scrolling leaves
Catalogue Note
This box has been tested by the Goldsmiths' Company Assay Office, London. A copy of the findings can be provided on request. This states that as the result of a non-destructive test, namely X-Ray Fluorescence Spectroscopy, the composition of the scurfed bottom was found to be: Gold 75.4%, Silver 12.0%, Copper 12.6%.
