Condition

The board is sound. There are some scattered chips of paint loss to the lower edge and some light scratches to the upper left corner. Otherwise in good overall condition. Ultra violet light reveals some retouching to the top of the left edge and to the upper left corner. Held under glass in a white painted box frame.

Catalogue Note

In 1955 the artist stayed at Patrick Heron's house, 'The Eagle's Nest' at Zennor. The house had yet to be modernised and Patrick Heron himself did not move there until 1956.
