Description

  • 60.5 by 76cm.; 23¾ by 30in.

Provenance

A gift from the artist to Philip and Sally Keeley and thence by descent to the present owner

Condition

There are some minor scuff marks towards the central lower edge. There are pinholes to the left and right edges, probably made by the artist during the creation of the work. Various spots of staining can be seen in the section of sky towards the upper edge. There is a repaired hole to the upper right hand corner. Further inspection under ultraviolet light reveals retouching to the repaired area and minor spots elsewhere. The surface of the work is dirty and would benefit from a clean. Held in a gilt wooden and plaster frame.
