Condition
The work is executed on a coarse canvas which is visible throughout the composition. There is a thick thread running horizontally across the work just above the centre. This culminates in two small holes within the branches of the trees. There are some areas of craquelure towards the upper and lower edges. There is some minor paint loss within the upper left and right quadrants. There are two holes towards the lower left and right corners and spots of staining to the left edge of the work. Minor surface dirt throughout. Held in a gilt wooden and plaster frame.
