Condition
There are some very small spots of paint loss in the lower section of the work and one on the bottom edge. There are two scuff marks towards the upper right side and two on the lower right side of the piece. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals lines of re-touching around the edges of three of the squares, possibly by the artist's own hand. Mounted on a white washed wooden board with staining, and held in a gilt wooden frame.
