Literature
The artist in a statement in 1997;
'In the case of The Painter with Women I wanted to be particularly accurate in the sense of representing reality. This is much harder to do on a larger scale. I still hold the view that some of those images, like Anna in the pink dress or the rear view of Esther, are very stong pieces, some of my better work.' Frances Mallet (ed.), R.O. Lenkiewicz, White Lane Press 1997, p.112
Condition
There are some very small spots of staining in the lower left section of the drapery. Otherwise the work is in excellent condition. Held in a gilt and black wooden frame.
