Condition
The Expedition: There are artist's pinholes in the upper left and lower right corners. The surface of the work has been variously scuffed and scratched especially in the trees, the sky and around the boat. There are some spots of staining in the sky and towards the right edge. There is evidence of some frame abrasion to the right edge. There are two very small splits in the board to the upper right edge. Held in a chrome wooden and plaster frame.
French Tango: There are artist's pinholes in all four corners and to the upper left edge. There is a horizontal scratch on the ankle of the female dancer (approximately 3cm in length), and various other scratches and scuff marks to much of the surface of the work. There is a crack in the board above the dancer's right leg probably caused by an impact. There are many small horizontal cracks in the board, especially within the lower half.
