Condition
The painting is on linen which has been laid onto linen. Inconsistencies in the surface of the linen are inherent to the material. There is a one inch horizontal abrasion to the pale blue lower edge of the work in the lower right quadrant. Artist's pinholes are visible in all 4 corners of the work.
Small areas of the pale blue paint along the edges of the work appear to be very lightly faded but this appears to be consistent with the artist's practice. The paint surface is in good overall condition.
There are no retouchings visible under ultra-violet light.
Presented under glass against a white backboard and held in a simple wooden frame.
