Condition

There are three light vertical scratches visible near the upper left corner (just visible in the catalogue photograph) and a possible old, restored arc-shaped damage near the upper right corner. Otherwise the work appears to be in excellent condition, sound and stable throughout. Inspection under UV light reveals some retouching to the small arc damage and scratches mentioned above. Further light and intermittent retouching is visible around the extreme edges of the work, most concentrated in the background upper left. Presented glazed in a substantial moulded wood frame with a dappled painted finish. The frame has various characteristic surface cracks but is structurally sound. Ready for the wall.
