Description

  • Keith Vaughan
  • untitled (man)
  • pastel
  • 28 by 19cm.; 11 by 7½in.

Condition

The pastel is on wove paper. A series of tiny marks, possibly spots of paint or ink, can be seen in the catalogue illustration across the surface of the work, but particularly in the lower left quadrant. There is a small area of smudging in the upper right quadrant but this may be consistent with the artist's technique. Held in a simple wooden frame with a canvas cross-section. The colours are slightly lighter in flesh than they appear in the catalogue illustration.
