Condition
The canvas has been relined. There are a few scattered spots of cosmetic retouching visible under ultraviolet light, notably within the hillside. There are a few spots of surface dirt, notably in the sky and some areas of craquelure. The work would benefit from a light surface clean. Held in a decorative plaster moulded gilt frame.
