Condition
Each work is executed on wove paper. There are no signs of any tears or damages and the works are overall in very good condition. The colours remain strong. Held under glass in simple gilt wood frames with clean white mounts. Unexamined out of the frames.

Painted in 1919, the present works and those comprising lot 281 are the original watercolours Kupka executed as illustrations for A. Ferdinand Herold's anthology of Greek love poems, La guirlande d'Aphrodite, published by Piazza, Paris, in 1923.
