Condition
Original canvas. There are some scattered spots of retouching visible under ultraviolet light, notably to parts of the sky and to the girls sitting in the foreground (some of these are visible to the naked eye on close inspection). Apart from some faint craquelure the paint surface is overall in good condition. Held in a plaster moulded gilt frame.
