Condition

The panel is sound. There are a couple of small spots of retouching to the woman's face and a few scattered spots to the curtains in the background. There are a few small spots of paint loss to the extreme lower left corner and minor frame abrasions to the right edge, otherwise the paint surface is in good condition. The work is covered in a rather thick varnish layer. Held in an ornate plaster moulded gilt frame.
