Condition
Original canvas. There are a few areas of retouching visible under ultraviolet light, notably above the head of the figure to the right and in the sky. These retouchings address damage to the paint surface caused by the canvas being rolled. This has resulted in craquelure, most notably a horizontal line running through the centre of the work (visible in the catalogue illustration) and a few scattered spots of pigment loss visible throughout the work. This work would benefit from restoration. Held in a simple carved wooden frame.
