Condition
Original canvas. There are some small spots of retouching in the sky towards the centre of the top edge and a spot in the rock to the centre right corresponding to a repair in the canvas. Apart from some fine craquelure and some tiny spots of paint loss in the sky, the work is in good overall condition. Held in a plaster moulded gilt frame with ebonised edges.
