Condition
The panel is sound. There are some strokes of retouching in the clouds to the right of the work and towards the top edge and a few small retouchings in the lower left corner. There is a scuff to the paint surface in the lower left corner (visible in the catalogue illustration) and the varnish has discoloured, otherwise the paint surface is in good overall condition with areas of fine impasto. Held in a simple gilt wood frame.
