Work on original canvas.
From a first hand inspection there are some small losses along the edges due to the frame.
The ultra violet light reveals a strong fluorescent varnish dishomogeneously spread over the surface.
The sky, the animals and the characters in the foreground have already been cleansed. There are retouches along the top and side edges due to the frame. There are retouches in the middle of the trunk on the left-hand side, two in the middle of the foliage, one on the left above the animals'heads and one over the cow's back in the middle.
It is suggested a careful cleansing.
The overall condition as to the state of preservation is good.
