Condition
Painted on first canvas.
At first look it is possible to notice a tiny hole on the middle of the left margin and a minor paint loss towards the superior edge.
The ultra violet light exam highlights a light fluorescent varnish scattered irregularly in the dark areas of the composition. It is possible to notice a pictorial integration of about cm. 1x2 on the background below the black hore's muzzle, visible also from the catalogue illustration that is more grey in tone. It is suggested a careful cleansing and a consolidation of the visible craquelures. overall the painting is in good condition.
