Overall in good condition with the usual minor scratches, dents and nicks consistent with age and use. Slight tarnishing to gilt-bronze in places. Few mounts would need to be tightened.

Léon-Guillaume Meynard (b. 1838) worked with his father Guillaume-Mathieu Meynard and grandfather, showing at all of the exhibitions and receiving a gold medal at the 1878 Exhibition in Paris. Léon-Guillaume sold the business to Frager in 1889.
