An identical model but differently decorated on the arched case containing the movement and the base by Ledure, is in the Ministry of Defense, Paris, illustrated, Ottomeyer, Pröschel et al., Vergoldete Bronzen, Munich, 1986, p. 350, fig. 5.7.1.  Other examples are in the Ministry of the Navy, Paris, and in the Royal Pavilion, Brighton.  Another comparable example is illustrated, Tardy, French Clocks The World Over, Paris, 1981, 5th ed., vol.
