the shaped case with engraved brass and tortoiseshell boulle marquetry, the dial with enamel cabochon Roman numerals, the twin train movement stamped PLANCHON/A PARIS and numbered 6451, the pendulum also numbered 6451. 

Catalogue Note

Born in Montpellier, Planchon was a pupil of Léon Bonnat. He exhibited at the Salon de Paris in 1876.
