Condition

Original canvas. No retouchings are evident under ultraviolet light. There are some frame abrasions to the extreme left and top edges (visible in the catalogue illustration) and there are signs of craquelure, otherwise the work is in good original condition. The colours are brighter than they appear in the catalogue illustration. Held in a fluted plaster moulded gilt frame.
