Condition
The canvas has been relined. Some light, restored craquelure throughout the background. An old small retouch along the upper right edge of the canvas and an old minor retouch along the right part of the lower edge. A small retouch in the lower left petals of the peony in the centre and a very small retouch in the vase between the green leaves. There is a brown waxed spot on the reverse, probably to reinforce the relining in that place. There is no associated retouch on the verso.
