Catalogue Note
Claude Bélard a déposé son poinçon en juillet 1876. Il travaillait encore en 1895. Nous remercions vivement Rémi Verlet pour son aide à l'identification de ce poinçon.
François-Auguste-Hippolyte Peyrol (Paris, 1856-Neuilly, 1929) est le fils du sculpteur Hippolyte Peyrol et de Juliette Bonheur, elle-même soeur de Rosa Bonheur. Parmi ses oeuvres, il a sculpté des bustes d'Isidore et de Rosa Bonheur. Le groupe ici présenté est une oeuvre soit de ce sculpteur soit de son père, les deux portant le même prénom.
