18k, Cal. 12'''-400AM nickel lever movement, 18 jewels, monometallic compensation balance, adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and 5 positions, micrometer regulator, stamped with the Seal of Geneva, gilt amagnetic cover, silvered brushed dial with applied gold Arabic, baton and square numerals, feuille hands, subsidiary seconds, circular case with enlarged bezel, downturned lugs, water-resistant-type screw back, case, dial and movement signed, with an 18k gold Patek Philippe buckle.

First introduced in 1958, Ref. 2570/1 was one of the first amagnetic watches put into production by Patek Philippe.
The specific design of the movement and case make the model more resistant to high magnetic fields that one might encounter in engineering or scientific work.
Examples of this reference in gold are especially rare.
Most examples were made in stainless steel.
