This model, Ref. 5070, was first launched in 1998, however the first pink gold examples only came on the market in 2003. The size and shape of the watch was based on a vintage oversized aviator-style split-seconds chronograph, Ref. 2512.

As production of this model in yellow and white gold has been halted, it is believed that production of pink gold examples will cease in the near future.
