An Oversized Pink Gold Triple Calendar Chronograph Wristwatch with Phases of the Moon and Registers, Universal Genève, 'Tri-Compax, Circa 1945

18k, nickel lever movement, 17 jewels, monometallic compensation balance, precision regulator, champagne dial, applied dot and dagger indexes, pink gilt dauphine hands, four subsidiary dials indicating date combined with phases of the moon, constant seconds, 30 minute and 12 hour registers, outer tachometer scale, oversized circular case with raised bezel, downturned lugs, two rectangular chronograph buttons in the band, snap  back, case, dial and movement signed.

The Tri-Compax model was first released in 1944 and coincided with the 50th Anniversary of  The Universal  Watch Company. The present lot is probably from one of the early series.
