French, Circa 1820; An Ormulu hour and half hour Striking Portico Clock with balance wheel
height 17 in. (43cm), width 10 ¾in. (27cm.)

4½in white enamel dial, Roman numerals, signed George à Paris, pierced hands, with sweep seconds, with large three-arm balance wheel and spring enclosed within a protected bridge, pin wheel escapement on the backplate, elongated crutch impulsing on the balance below, twin going barrels, countwheel strike on a bell, four column with stepped top applied with Pegasus, rectangular base decorated with ancanthus leafs, surmounted on paw feet.
