Description

the Ivory Coast, possibly Guro, comb with five tines, the shoulders incised with triangular motifs, a chicken on one side and a bushcow head on the other, surmounted by a graceful female head with curvilinear profile and delicate features; '307X373' on the base; dark brown patina; the Baule comb with six tines, beneath the crest of the comb in the form of an elephant carrying a female torso with broad facial plane and tightly plaited hair; '834' on the base; fine dark to reddish brown patina.
