Folio (362 x 252mm.), coloured maps and illustrations, contemporary black morocco by Sally Lou Smith, stamp-signed with initials in gilt inside lower cover, executed in 1994, each cover inlaid with seven sunken rectangular panels in imitation of strata, the panels composed of textured multi-coloured morocco (but mainly brown and grey tones) with additional pieces of gold, silver, stone, shell and wood, spine lettered in gilt with title, black morocco doublures with similar panels tooled in blind, gilt and coloured edges again suggesting strata, black morocco-backed cloth box, spine lettered in gilt with title and Pease crest and additionally signed by the binder
