Small 4to in 8s (165 x 124mm.), 2 parts, text in double columns, black letter, title within woodcut border, repeated for the Hagiographa and New Testament, seventeenth-century panelled calf gilt, some staining and soiling towards end, last leaf heavily soiled and with marginal fraying and repair, many leaves shaved or cropped, mostly affecting headlines, very occasional chipping with slight loss, lacks final blank, binding rebacked to style

rare in a complete state. “A handy quarto edition, printed in very small type” (Herbert). Bound before the Bible is a fragment of a contemporary book of common prayer (signatures A to I4), which has thus far resisted identification.
