Prince Paul Troubetzkoy Russian, 1864-1936

Mlle. Felisa de Alvear was the third daughter of Mr Federico de Alvear, a well-known international turfman and prominent member of the Argentinian colony in Paris. She later was Mme. de Santa Coloma.  Her parents were also portrayed in small and life-size bronzes (see 'Una Amistad singular: Troubetzkoy y Sorolla' by J.S. Grioni, in Goya, Madrid, n.280/2001.)  Troubetzkoy often concealed the identity of his sitters in exhibition catalogues under generic titles or initials.  This model  was shown as 'Jeune fille Argentine'.
