Very similar unsigned models believed to be by Rauch are illustrated in Jutta von Simsoa, Christian Daniel Rauch Oeuvre-Katalog, Berlin, Gebr. Mann, 1896 p. 179-181, cat no. 101.1, 101.2. In addition there are two similarly unsigned marble busts of Nicholas I as Grand Duke by Rauch in the Hermitage Collection, cat nos. 1438 and 1436.
