Catalogue Note
The Triumph of Man was the central panel in a series of 24 paintings commissioned by author Héliodore Fortin to decorate the interior of the Chapelle Fortin du résurrectoire. The nightmarish imagery of the decoration was inspired by Fortin’s book Bible of Spirits.
