These two exquisite statuettes of Oriental dancers are seminal examples of Cordier’s polychromatic ambitions. The vibrant enamelling and delicate silvering and gilding are preserved in excellent condition. The outstanding quality of these statuettes demonstrates a level of craftsmanship far superior to commercial editions and they are among the finest autograph bronzes by Cordier to have appeared on the market in recent years.
