  • Signed in an oval reserve Mitsuhide

  • Ivory, the boar's eye pupils inlaid
  • 3.9cm., 1 1/2 in.
The former is seated playfully atop the seated boar whilst its young is nestled at her feet.

Mitsuhide's work is comparatively scarce; the quality of his work is according to Meinertzhagen, defined by the artist's carvings of monkeys.
