With a multitude of feet, heads and arms, holding a parasol above, wearing a multicolored lower garment and standing in pratyalidha on a lotus set in verdant landscape, with forms of Mahakala beneath amidst offerings, a regal couple in adoration at either side, and the donor's family below.

Catalogue Note

The inscription records that this painting of the tutelary deity (istadevata) Mahapratimgira was donated by Athaka... Bharo and Krsna of Naka Bahi, Patan, in samvat 940 (1820). The donors are portrayed to the left and right of Mahapratimgira.
