Catalogue Note

The tantric masters portrayed upper left and right may be the same lineage that appears in other Bhutanese paintings and in the Jucker Manjugosha, lot 121, and in the Samvara mandala, lot 123, possibly indicating a Bhutanese provenance for this rare silver ground thanka.
