in three sections, the globular form moulded with four kidney-shaped panels, applied with bands of acanthus leaves in white extending to the rib-moulded stepped circular foot, the foot and waisted neck with stiff-leaves and scroll, applied ribbed handle topped with acanthus
Catalogue Note
Whilst there is no proof that the present lot was ever exhibited, its monumental scale and high-quality moulding would suggest that it was made for a special occasion, the Great Exhibition being the most likely event.
