An English Great Exhibition commemorative wall timepiece, dated 1851

12-inch painted dial, fusee movement with anchor escapement, the octagonal dial surround inlaid with brass and mother-of-pearl, dated 1851 and bearing the motto To All Nations Peace & Plenty the words divided by foliate sprays and with a royal crown above XII, the trunk with a shaped lenticle and  inlaid with Albert, further foliate sprays and similarly dated on the under-curved door
