of oak, all four sides and the lid covered in leather, applied with enforcing straps of gilt copper wrought with six-petal flowers, interspersed with domed bosses, chased and coloured in enamel with lion heads, dragons, crosses and other mythical creatures, applied with H-shaped handle, the border of the lid covered on three sides with plaques enamelled en suite, the lock plate engraved with two half-length figures, the casket supported by four lions couchant
